TAKING THEM TO JESUS
Taking Those We Love To Jesus
Mark 2:3-4
3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. 4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
In life, we often find ourselves in situations where our friends and family are struggling with various challenges, whether its mental health issues, relationship troubles, financial woes, addictions, or spiritual battles. It’s heart wrenching to witness the pain of those we care about, and we might feel an overwhelming urge to help them. Yet, despite our best efforts, we sometimes find that our words or actions fall short and even seem to hinder rather than help.
But the truth is that while we may not have all the answers, we can always take them to Jesus, who does!
When a family member or friend is going through a tough time, it can feel as if their struggles weigh heavily on our hearts, as well.
We want to be their rock and their support system. But we must remember that we are not the answer to their problems.
We have a Savior who cares deeply for every individual and who can provide the healing and hope that we could never offer.
One of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal is prayer. It’s a beautiful way to connect with God and invite Him into the lives of those we love. When we feel helpless, we can lift them up in prayer, asking Jesus to intervene in their circumstances. Prayer is not just a way of asking for help; it’s also an act of love and faith. It reminds us that we are not in control, but God is, and He is capable of doing so much more than we can ask or imagine. When we are in prayer, we can also receive instruction on our part in this healing process.
As we seek to help those we love, let us also share the Good News of Jesus with them. Sometimes, people are struggling because they feel lost or alone, and they may not even realize that Jesus is right there, waiting to welcome them with open arms. By sharing our faith and the hope we have in Christ, we can introduce them to the One who can transform their lives. It’s not about forcing beliefs upon them; it’s about inviting them to experience the love and grace that can only come from a relationship and fellowship with Jesus.
Remember, bringing someone to Jesus is often a journey rather than a one time event. It requires patience, love, and a willingness to walk alongside them as they navigate through their struggles. There may be setbacks along the way, but remain steadfast in your faith, believing that Jesus is at work in their hearts, even when they can’t see it.
So, as we take our loved ones to Jesus, let us do so with true hope. While you may not have all the answers, you can trust that He does. You can rejoice in the fact that healing and restoration are possible through Him. I encourage you to lift your eyes to Jesus today. He is the only One who is able to turn mourning into dancing, despair into joy, and with Him, all things are possible!
